We need your support
This year will be the third edition of Wilde Weide, and we’re really looking forward to it. However, there’s something on our minds that we need to share with you. The current trend in ticket sales is too low to be able to put the festival on. We want to update you on where things stand and ask for your support!
Starting a new festival is a huge challenge—especially at a time when events are increasingly under pressure due to rising costs. On top of that, people are buying tickets later and later, while as a new and independent festival we really need that certainty.
What do we need?
To be specific: by 25 February at the latest, we need to sell another 2,000 tickets for Wilde Weide to be able to go ahead. Are you thinking of coming, or do you already know you want to go? Then don’t wait any longer, buy your ticket now!
On the road to a healthy festival
Over the past two editions, Wilde Weide has run at a significant loss. We still fully stand behind that investment, because we truly believe in the concept of Wilde Weide. It’s part of the risk of the job as festival organisers, and we don’t want to make a fuss about it. The goal is to create a financially healthy festival that makes people happy.
The enthusiasm is there!
The good news is that we’ve already sold 65% more tickets than at this time last year. In previous editions, we received a lot of love and enthusiastic feedback. This year we’ve lowered the ticket price and significantly increased the programming budget to make the festival even better.
A large group already has their tickets, and for that: a massive THANK YOU! Now it’s up to the rest of the enthusiasts who haven’t bought theirs yet. We really need that step from you, as a small, independent organisation, to be able to keep making this festival happen.
What if…?
We don’t want to think about it, but we do want to be prepared and transparent: if Wilde Weide doesn’t go ahead after all, everyone will receive their money back within 4 weeks. Our finances are in order and we guarantee this 100%.
Phew – that’s off our chest. We hope you appreciate the openness! And that we’ll get the certainty we need to keep creating beautiful things.
Lots of love,
Team Wilde Weide
